Designer

Educators design authentic, learner-driven activities and environments that recognize and accommodate learner variability.

Design in Education

I feel that design is critical to education. Students are not engaged or motivated to learn by bland, uninteresting materials and activities. The artifacts on this page demonstrate my design skills using a variety of applications.

Infographics

Infographics are my favorites because viewers can gather information quickly due to the visual aspect. I created an infographic about the Declaration of Independence using Canva. Viewers can learn three facts about the document quickly

Puzzles

Puzzles can engage and motivate students to learn while having fun (and usually without even realizing they are learning). I created a puzzle of a Benjamin Franklin quote using Discovery's PuzzleMaker application.

Document Design

A document's formatting is important to ensure easy usage and accessibility. For example, documents should have headings between different sections, as well as images to enhance its appearance. I created a document using Microsoft Word and incorporated design elements, such as headers and themes, along with some images to enhance the text. Newsletters

I enjoy designing attractive and engaging newsletters to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders (particularly parents). You can view a newsletter I designed using MailChimp on the Collaborator page.
