Facilitator
Educators facilitate learning with technology to support student achievement of the ISTE Standards for Students.
Facilitating with Technology
Technology is a major part of our society now, and education is no exception. Most students are comfortable using many forms of technology and want to use it when learning. I have long been interested in technology, and so I enjoy using technology to facilitate student learning. The artifacts below demonstrate my efforts in this area.
SoftChalk Lessons
To me, SoftChalk is one of the best-kept secrets of education. I enjoy creating lessons in SoftChalk, especially because of the functionality it allows you to incorporate. Click the image below to access a SoftChalk lesson I created about using Canvas for Athens State University instructors. Learners can access it from anywhere and take quizzes in it as well.
Prezi/ScreenPal
Prezi and ScreenPal are a great combination for an educator. Prezi allows you to create presentations that contain motion, engaging the viewer while conveying information. You can record a screencast of your Prezi and distribute it for learners to view and learn on their time. Click below to view a screencast I made of my Prezi about virtual field trips.
Symbaloo
Facilitating learning with technology can also involve providing other instructors with technology resources they can use with their students. Below is a Symbaloo I created with a collection of Career and Technical (CTE) resources that could be shared with other CTE instructors for use in their classrooms and with their students.
